Help

How it works:
To add your Characters we need the API Keys, which you can find at the bottom the the Ryzom Account Management page. To submit your Keys you have to register a user account here. After that you will find the option "API Settings" in the menu at the right. There you can submit your Characters and Guilds. You may even define which parts of you profile will be visible to the public. We won't force you to share every aspect of you Character's profile. If there are any further questions please use the Forums.

First steps

1) In order to add characters or guilds you will need an account. You can register one using this link or via the menu at the right.

2) After registering an account the option "API Settings" becomes availabe in the menu on the right. There you will first have to set your privacy settings. These allow you to define which parts of your character's or guild's profile will be visible to "everyone", "guild" or "just you".

3) When setting up the privacy settings is done, you can add API Keys. To do that, use the input box "API Key" which can be found on top of the settings page. Once you send the API Key, it will be checked if it's valid. If it is, the character or guild will become connected to your account and you are done.

FAQ

What happens if my API Key was already added by someone else?
Once an API Key is added, nobody else can add it to his account. If you are the original owner of that API Key, you can generate new keys via the Ryzom Account-Management page. After that you can add the new keys and reclaim your character or guild. There is no other way for us to verify the original owner.

What does the privacy setting "guild" mean?
This option will limit visibility to users which have already added characters that belong to the same guild as yours.

How do the privacy settings work for guilds?
Privacy settings are applied based on the user that added the API Key. In other words, that means that the privacy options of the guild's owner apply and those of the members are sort of ignored.

What do the shards "Windermeer" and "Cho" mean?
Windermeer was one of the two english-speaking original shards when Ryzom was released back in 2004. Later Windermeer was merged with Arispotle and was closed probably forever. All playsers that called Windermeer their home were awarded the title "Wayfarer".
The shard Cho, opened in 2006, suffered a similar fate in 2007. Players from that shard were awarded the title "Journeyer".
Both servers are listed in our realmstatus as a tribute to the past.
